Sensible Sentencing Trust
Garth and Anne McVicar started the Trust in 2001 as an outcome of the Mark Middleton case, with the help of a number of other New Zealanders dedicated to putting the legal system to rights so that the victim comes before the offender. Garth and the other key people are profiled here, with links to articles and opinion pieces by each person. All of these people work voluntarily, no-one here is paid!
Garth McVicar and his lovely wife Anne live in Mohaka, Napier on their farm, along with one of their four daughters. Garth has written the vast bulk of the press releases, along with much material for the newsletters. Garth is also our National spokesman
