Background
The Rotorua High Court heard how the 18 year old victim was on her way to school when she was picked up by Timo and confronted in a "rough and ready" fashion. She then endured a lengthy ordeal during which she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and at one point he had her gagged with a sock while holding a knife in front of her.
