Background
In the High Court in Hamilton, Justice Heath said Tahuriorangi had molested his latest victim while she was walking her dogs. A psychological report stated Tahuriorangi had an "ingrained predilection for sexual interaction with juvenile females". Tahuriorangi had undergone the Te Piriti therapy programme over a 40 week period in 1996 but continued to offend.
