A Whitianga builder who sexually abused a teenage girl has been jailed for a minimum of three years. Glenn Schache, 60, was sentenced yesterday in Hamilton District Court to six years and four months' jail after admitting two charges of digital sexual assault, sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection, oral sexual connection and attempted rape. Schache was 54 when the offending occurred over a year. Judge Cecilie Rushton said given the range of offences and their escalation, she imposed a non parole period of three years.
