A MAN found guilty last month of indecently assaulting a seven- year-old girl, has been sentenced to 16 months' jail. Wayne Keith Robinson (32), unemployed, still denied indecently assaulting the girl and performing an indecent act in front of her at a New Plymouth house between August 28 and September 6 last year, the city's district court heard yesterday. In sentencing Robinson, Judge Chris Harding said the offending was serious and there was a need to deter others in order to protect the public.
