Note; Parole Board records list his real name as Dean Phillips and he in fact has no middle name. His name is reported in the media as Rangitahi Dean Wilson Phillips and in 1983 Herald reports as Wilson Dean Phillips. The psychological opinion is that Phillips remains at high risk of serious violent reoffending and at moderate to high risk of committing further sex offences. We are advised there have been approximately 19 misconducts while in prison including using drugs. He was in minimum security and in Self Care. Philips has been in custody since April 1998
