Pleady guilty to indecent assault and having unlawful sex with a girl under his care and protection. He repeatedly abused a girl 20 years ago when she was aged between 11 and 15 and put into foster care. Ormsby said he would approach her and she would either comply or reject his advances, apparently making his offending "opportunistic rather than calculating". He was unaware that the girl was also being abused by his brother Lorence Ormsby, at the time and concluded that the victim impact statement "did not make pleasant reading".
