Background
Mason spoke to his victim outside a pub about 3 AM and she declined to leave with him so he followed the woman and her boyfriend home. At about 5:30 AM Mason entered the couple's house through an unlocked door and went into the bedroom where they were sleeping. He put his hands beneath the covers and touched the woman before climbing on top of her. Mason asked that she not tell her partner but she yelled, prompting him to run out.
