TWO men found carrying knives in unrelated incidents appeared in the New Plymouth District Court yesterday. Gerry Klaassen (39), of Auroa, was remanded on bail until September 6. He was charged with possession of a knife in a public place, driving while suspended and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis after an incident in Okato on August 22. He did not plea to the charges.

Bradley Stephan Stiglmayer (25) was arrested on Coronation Ave early yesterday morning and faced charges of possession of a knife in a public place without reasonable excuse, driving while forbidden and failing to stop for police. Stiglmayer did not enter pleas to the charges and was remanded on bail by Judge Rob Murfitt to reappear on September 6.
