A Rotorua man has been jailed for eight years for sexually abusing a young girl. Alan Jamieson, 33, earlier admitted two representative charges of indecent assault, two counts of sexual violation by rape, one count of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection, and one count of attempted sexual violation. Jamieson told the Rotorua District Court that he was sick and needed help, but Judge James Weir told him he had to accept the consequences of his actions.
