A man who sexually abused male and female children has been sentenced to preventive detention after his third conviction for underage sexual offences The judge said that in the late 1990s Holster had abused two boys under the age of 10 and had sex with a 15-year-old girl. He had received one non-custodial sentence of four months and a 2 year 6 month prison term for the offences.

Holster had twice attended the STOP programme, completing the course once. While in prison, he spent 23 weeks on another programme designed to stop adult males sexually offending against young people.
