The offences relate to a girl Heaphy first raped on her ninth birthday and raped repeatedly after that for a year. Also during that time he bathed with the girl and performed indecencies on her as well as performing sexual acts in front of her and taking photographs of her genitals. Heaphy accepted total responsibility for his actions and made a complete confession.
