Background
The Dunedin District Court was the told the two were friends but did not have an intimate relationship. At 3 AM one morning Gordon entered her bedroom, jumped on to of her and despite her protests and struggles, reached under the bedcovers and fondled her naked breasts. When another flatmate heard the commotion and came to help Gordon left the house.
