A holiday programme supervisor who sexually assaulted a young girl in his care has been given a 15 month jail term. However Jonathon Peter Ernst, 22 of Rotorua, who cried as he was sentenced in Rotorua District Court, was granted leave to apply for home detention and allowed bail in the meantime.He was due to stand trial last month but pleaded guilty to seven representative charges of indecent assault. He fondled and indecently touched the girl during school holidays between April 2002 and January 2004, when she was aged between 12 and 14.
