"Stuart Bartlett, 35, a contract manager of Lower Hutt, was jailed for two years by Judge Barry Kerr in Wellington District Court yesterday after pleading guilty to charges of indecent assault and permitting an indecent act by a young girl. The charges were representative of repeated offending against a victim aged 6-7 for more than a year from January 31, 1998, the judge said. Bartlett, a family friend, created situations where the offending occurred while he was in a position of trust."
