Sensible Sentencing Trust spokesperson Garth McVicar totally agrees with Phil Goff's new supervision regime for sex offenders and most importantly the need for the law to be retrospective.
The Civil Liberty Groups need to get real; they have obviously lost contact with the real world as it is today. They have forgotten whom the REAL victim is, the very vulnerable child who is suffering at the hands of these scumbags.
These groups and their politically correct views are the reason why our country is now leading the world in child abuse. Haven't they learnt that "being kind to the Offender" won't stop them re-offending.
Where are these civil liberty do-gooders when another child gets abused or killed, where are they when methamphetamine use is going through the roof. Civil Liberty organisations have exceeded their "use by date", and it is time for them to give way to the new movement of individual accountability and responsibility.
We congratulate Mr Goff, it is the first step in the right direction, said Mr McVicar

Garth McVicar
