Garth McVicar says the Sensible Sentencing Trust is absolutely horrified that two of the offenders involved in the Murder of Peter Kitchen have walked.
Once again the Justice System has shown the offenders, there is no consequences, accountability, or responsibility for their actions.
It is little wonder that the re-offending rate in New Zealand is so high, what has this decision shown those boys? It is alright to attack and kill someone?
Those boys are free to walk our streets again, free to have a life and a family. What about Peter Kitchens' family??
Once again the Victims' family is made to suffer, this is the reason 92% of the population voted for Justice Reform in the last election. Have we been listened to?
"Why dont we paint our Court Houses Red and White and accept that our Justice System is now a "Warehouse" offering bulk discounts for multiple violent offences" said Garth McVicar.
