escalating violence in our community

Sensible Sentencing Trust
(23rd July 2002)
Economic prosperity and the well being of our people can only come about if New Zealand has good solid common sense Law and Order and Justice Policies, says National spokesperson for the Sensible Sentencing Trust.
The family unit is the foundation of our community, if society is to prosper the families in our communities, and indeed all of us, must have confidence in the ability of the State or the Government to ensure our citizens are safe on the streets, in our homes, and at work.
The murders of Marcus Doig and John Vaughan and many other innocent victims over recent months are a major concern to us all.
Ese Junior Falealii who murdered Marcus Doig and John Vaughan will spend just 19 months in prison for each of the 11 convictions he pleaded guilty to (16% of his total sentence).
Falealii will be only 37 when he comes up for parole, he will be terrorising our streets again while Marcus and John and their families will still be serving their life sentence. Is this Justice? What can you do? Use your Vote wisely on the 27th.....
The following is a breakdown of the party policies and how Falealii would have been treated under those policies.
