Acting on information received from convicted murderer Jan Yorke, 31, Police dug in a bush area near Stratford, and found a body in a shallow grave. It is expected that this is the missing body of Hawera murder victim, Nicola Goodwin. Goodwin's husband, Mark Goodwin, 28, and Yorke were convicted of her murder despite the baffling absence of her body. Both are serving life sentences.
