The probation officer acknowledged Watson had good intentions and has evinced a stronger desire to tackle his drug addiction problems more robustly than in the past. However, the probation officer also assessed Watson as having a high risk of re-offending which could only be diminished if his stated commitment to complete an intensive residential treatment programme were sustained.
