AN assault in Whangamomona has landed Alan Neil Rosewarne in jail.
Rosewarne admitted assaulting a 54-year-old man, in February.
While some evidence was disputed by counsel, the judge said the assault was
serious and the charges were admitted.
He sentenced Rosewarne to 12 months jail for assault with intent to injure and four months for threatening to kill. A further six weeks was added for outstanding fines. The sentences are to be served cumulatively.
Rosewarne was also sentenced to four months jail on each charge of breaching a protection order and psychological abuse. Those sentences will be served concurrently.
