Background
From the Daily News July 2006
...Karl Roberts, sentenced last year to two-and-a-half years' jail for an unprovoked stabbing of a young couple under the Carrington St viaduct on June 8, 2003. Roberts, who was also 17 at the time, had used broken glass to stab the man and woman. They were not seriously wounded, but the woman was traumatised by the event. Karl Roberts blamed drugs, such as magic mushrooms, for the attack, saying he had thoughts of killing himself and others.
