From the Dominion Post 20/09/2006
TWO Lower Hutt men have been jailed for 7 years six months and eight years for an attack on two brothers who were bashed and bound with electrical cord.
In Wellington District Court yesterday, Judge Bruce Davidson said he believed Justin Mane Paul and Edward Walker Te Rauna had intended "ripping off" any drugs the brothers had. Instead they took two cellphones, $600, and two wallets, he said. Paul, 32, a painter of Naenae, pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated robbery and two of kidnapping. He was sentenced to 7 years six months' jail. Te Rauna, 32, a labourer of Lower Hutt , was found guilty of two charges of aggravated robbery and two of kidnapping. He was sentenced to eight years' jail.
