Background
The victim went to a party with friend on a Saturday evening. O'Donnell also attended that party. The victim and O'Donnell were not known to each other. Early the following morning the victim's friend went home leaving the victim at the party. She unsuccessfully tried to contact numerous people to get a lift home. She slept in a bedroom in the house after it was offered to her. O'Donnell then climbed into bed with her and raped before demanding oral sex. O'Donnell left after the victim resisted his demands.
