Sunday Star Times article here
Convicted murderers Michael Nomotu and Michelle Nicholson were among the first to attend compliance hearings, both receiving glowing reports of their behaviour since leaving jail.
Nomotu was jailed in 1991 for punching, kicking and stomping to death Stephen Chapman in Auckland and was paroled in 2004 and Nicholson, convicted of murdering retired Temuka businessman Dennis Hind in 1997, was paroled last December.
