The two were reported missing from a 120-bed unit in Tongariro/Rangipo Prison in the central North Island prison about 7.30am on the 31st June 2008. Narayan, 30, is serving a 15-year sentence for the rape and aggravated robbery of two prostitutes in Auckland in 2001.
