The Auckland High Court heard pre-sentence report writer said Clark who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1993 denied his involvement in the offending. Has expressed little remorse and the report writer says he showed little insight into the effects of his offending on the victims. The report writer assesses Clark as having low motivation to change and a high risk of reoffending
